Why is Social Media important? Better yet, what is Social Media and why would I want to use it? First of all, I want to be clear that it isn't Antisocial Media. It is definitely SOCIAL! While there are many ways to use it, today we will work with Girl Scouts in mind and how you can discover, connect, and take action in your own way. There are a myriad of programs, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, Flickr, Blogger, WordPress, TypePad, YouTube, etc. We will touch lightly on photos and videos but go more in depth regarding blogs, Facebook and Twitter. You can truly make a difference out there. You can connect with people. You can find resources. You can BE a resource. And you can even recruit online.
